Interstate 684

Interstate 684 is a short north-south highway mainly used by commuters from New York City’s northern suburbs in Westchester and Putnam Counties.  The route connects the Cross-Westchester Expressway (Interstate 287) near Rye, NY with Interstate 84 in Brewster, NY.  While the entire route is maintained by New York State’s Department of Transportation, I-684 clips the extreme northwest section of the Connecticut panhandle for about a mile and a half.
